After all this drama - I’m hoping they switch to OpenRC or another alternate init system. It would mean dropping Gnome, as Gnome has embedded itself deeply in SystemD.
As you also said - their silence is deafening. This is why I’m going to start testing alternate systems. I want to support those who are willing to stand up and fight for liberty.

Absolutely - it always has. I just let entropy keep me from trying non SystemD distros.
But that’s obviously changed today, I downloaded Artix this morning.
Tried Artix and it is not nearly as polished as OM. I really hope you guys don’t bend a knee.

We can’t control what the Brazilian government and their ISP’s do when it comes to blocking access. There are no plans from OMA to block anything at this time.

Which ISO(s) did you test?
The weekly Plasma OpenRC. It kept telling me my drive needs an empty 8 MB partition at the beginning, and the layout needs to be set to GPT (which it is).
I setup the empty nonformatted partition but it still kept giving me that error message. Tried using the “replace” option in Calamares, selected my OMLx partition and that got to the bootloader install portion and errors out. Says it can’t install the bootloader.
When I told it to use the whole drive (external USB drive I have) it works fine, and boots fine.

OMA will make whatever decisions benefit the users. Bullying them into a position by something as false as content creator influence is horribly disingenuous. It’s just as reprehensible as something the other side of your false dichotomy would do. The only person “… abandon(ing) all the goodwill…” in this scenario, is you “Community Helper.” If you can’t respect what the OMA is doing because you want them to do something else, you need to own that and stop taking it out on everyone else.

Explaining behavior is not ad hominem. Perhaps if you knew how logical fallacies worked. Your mom should have taught you that. Saying behavior is “reprehensible” is not me saying you are. That’s a collectivist way of thinking. Similar to, if you call someone’s software project bad, that means the one that wrote it is also a bad person.
That is an example of clear ad hominem. I think you know all this though. All of this is to cut up snippets for the Fediverse or your failing BooTube channel.
