I am not a programmer or developer. I am not a computer expert.

Retired truck driver. I did 14 years of 48 states plus Canada.

Before that, I worked in a tool and die shop. Programming and operating 3-axis machine tools, plus cutting tool sharpening once everything was running. I performed any IT work as required. Learned IT the hard way, self-taught trial and error. If a machine tool controller went down, I was able to get it up and running again. My first computer at home was a TRS-80 Color Computer 2. It did see my soldering iron and ended up heavily modified.

Before that, I went to tool and die trade school at night and grew up on a dairy farm. I claim that I have a 6th grade education because the last 2 years of grade school were a repeat of the 6th grade and little was taught in high school. School management assumed everyone was going to be a dairy farmer like their parents. I have a very low opinion of school teachers who never worked in the real world. Why is that? Waiting for a school teacher to provide a reality-based answer. So far, no takers.
