Some minor things with ROME upgrade (09-11-2025)

Hello,

Requirements:

I have Searched the forum for my issue and found nothing related or helpful
I have checked the Resources category (Resources Index)
I have reviewed the Wiki for relevant information
I have read the the Release Notes and Errata

OpenMandriva Lx version:

Desktop environment (KDE, LXQT…):

KDE Plasma6

Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant):

Changes after latest ROME(rolling) upgrade

Desktop wallpaper changed from default:

You should be able to figure out how to change this if this affects you and if you want to.
Relevant informations (hardware involved, software version, logs or output…):

The default KSplash screen changes to “Breeze” instead of "OpenMandriva:

That is where to change this back or to whatever.

There is a new default browser Helium a version of Chromium ungoogled that is supposed to be better. This does not get installed. So if you want this:

sudo dnf in helium

dnfdragora and associated packages get removed. I believe because dnfdragora is not upgraded to qt6 but I am not sure. For me this is OK. Anyway it will not install anymore:

Repositories loaded.
Failed to resolve the transaction:
Problem: package dnfdragora-2.99.1-1.x86_64 from rolling-x86_64 requires lib64yui-qt, but none of the providers can be installed
  - conflicting requests
  - nothing provides libcgraph.so.6()(64bit) needed by lib64yui-qt-4.6.2-8.x86_64 from rolling-x86_64
  - nothing provides libgvc.so.6()(64bit) needed by lib64yui-qt-4.6.2-8.x86_64 from rolling-x86_64

If losing dnfdragora is any concern file your complaints with the home office. Perhaps a better approach would be to learn to use dnfdrake.

This is all I have seen so far. Overall the upgrade went very smoothly here and this was a really big upgrade with some big changes.

sudo dnf in dnfdrake

I do not know if it was intended to install dnfdrake and make it the default. But it does not get installed with the upgrade.
