I made these wallpapers from a panoramic photo I took while walking Marginal Way in Ogunquit, Maine earlier this summer.

That is the concept that I use for wallpaper. When on vacation from retirement, I have my camera with me and photograph whatever interests me. Then use what I want for wallpaper, only without the OM watermark. I set up a folder full of images. I use Plasma’s default slideshow tool to do a slideshow of those images.
The Maine coast looks like the Minnesota North Shore of Lake Superior. Or Lake Superior between Copper Harbor and Eagle Harbor on the Keweenaw. Isle Royale has lakefront like that too. The Great Lakes are not as bland as the media wants people to believe.
