I’ve been working in long haul telecommunications for over 25 years. DWDM, SONET, Metro Ethernet, etc. I have been a computer buff even longer. Starting building PCs when I was in middle school and have been using different flavors of Linux since at least '97. At first just Slak servers and then RHEL 2.1 or 3(I can’t remember) for a desktop. I’m also a motorhead. I just as comfortable elbows deep in an engine as I am with a telecom cabinet
