I have tried many things so far.
Firsty I have set one of these options in the /etc/modprobe.d/alsa.conf file

# Force the DSP driver for Intel DSP (0=auto, 1=legacy, 2=SST, 3=SOF, 4=AVS)
# options snd-intel-dspcfg dsp_driver=1
# options snd-intel-dspcfg dsp_driver=3

# options snd-hda-intel model=1028:0cf5

# options snd-hda-intel model=generic

# options snd-hda-intel model=laptop
# options snd-hda-intel model=mobile
# options snd-hda-intel model=dell
# BAD options snd-hda-intel model=8086:7728
# blacklist snd_hda_intel

# options snd-hda-intel probe_mask=1
# options snd-hda-intel position_fix=4

Then I have downloaded and installed several things. Mostly from the cooker repository.
See ls Downloads/

Nothing has worked.

Everything I have written to the Internet via the alsa-info.sh.
https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/Advanced_Linux_Sound_Architecture/Troubleshooting
When I set the legacy, I could hear sound from HDMI channels only. No speaker, no microphone.

Finally I have tried the Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS in Live mode from my USB stick. It have worked. See the alsa-info.txt.1j7OjJuwDZ.

What else should I do? Is it possible to tune it as is in the Ubuntu 24.04.2 LTS?

Please fix this to indicate what you have done. If you have not done these things, please do them.

Please also include dmesg and journalctl logs pertaining to your audio device so we can begin to assist with troubleshooting.

Hello,

I have done all 4 things.
Searched, checked, reviewed and read.

There is only one interesting note about audio there.
https://wiki.openmandriva.org/en/distribution/releases/omlx60/errata
Pipewire sound server
Some users may experience issues with the new Pipewire sound server. If so user may switch to the older pulseaudio sound server. To do this open Konsole and run the following copy and paste command:
$ sudo dnf remove pipewire-pulse ; sudo dnf install pulseaudio-server

I have not tried it yet.
I have this one.
Name : pipewire-pulse
Version : 1.4.4
Release : 1

This is not a dmesg from your system. It looks like a spec sheet for the audio card you are using. We need to see any kernel modules not loading or other issues.

I have just upgraded by https://forum.openmandriva.org/t/rome-major-upgrade-november-2025/8375

I have just tried to switch to the pulseaudio-server.

$ sudo dnf remove pipewire-pulse ; sudo dnf install pulseaudio-server

No change. Still no audio.

Then it’s a kmod problem.

The upstream SoF issue with the fix commit chain: No sound from speakers on Dell XPS 14 on kernel 6.16 · Issue #5515 · thesofproject/linux · GitHub

Those fixes were merged in kernel 6.17:
https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?h=linux-6.17.y&id=28edfaa10ca1b370b1a27fde632000d35c43402c

and they were backported to 6.16.9:

https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/stable/linux.git/commit/?h=v6.16.9&id=8276c97dccee0c0585b3e91b1206970b2e07c2c8

They should be in 6.17.7 which Mila has upgraded to:

Unless there is another issue here, kmod, alsa.conf related or something else.

Perhaps undoing any changes made to the /etc/modprobe.d/alsa.conf file to reset it to its prior state combined with the kernel upgrade could be worth trying.

I have the newest kernel and nothing set in the alsa.conf file.
Still no audio. What else should I try? Should I try any cooker kernel?
