You do not seem to be getting to the “if so many other people can use this why am I having so much trouble”. I don’t know that I am smart enough to help with that except to ask questions from my own experience like:
If I am having a problem understanding a thing is the problem with that thing or my approach to the problem?
Did I not do enough homework before attempting something new?
Am I overthinking the problem?
Am I treating this like it is Rocket Science when it is not?
Am I worrying to much about making a mistake instead of “just do it and learn”?
Am I asking the correct questions?
When people post something like this why am I not using that information?
Another common thing people do is to simply revert to some basic scientific problem solving list.
