I’ve too, performed the steps showed by Mila in the bug report, and finally Virtualbox started up and seems work well.
I guess that a new package of Virtuabox that fix that bug will be available shortly in the official stable repositories…
my compliments to the developers for their quick response.

Indeed. We do have a workaround. And that’s a great thing.
Now I’m not positive about this but I don’t think there will be new virtualbox 5.1.26 packages as that isn’t where the problem was. It was something incorrect in the kernel package. No one can fix kernel packages that are already released so the fix is going to be in the next new kernel package. That will probably be kernel-release-desktop-4.12.5-2omv which is in main testing repo now. At least that’s as I understand it at this time.
