I recently installed LX 5.0 from an ISO from last November. Specifically, openmandriva.5.0-plasma.slim.znver1.iso.
After installing, I ran updates and noticed I only had 7 updates. Since the ISO was almost 8 months old, I wanted to make sure that was normal for there to be so few.
If you don’t find what you are looking for, try an Internet search. One can find out a lot from documentation or forum posts at other Linux distros. If user finds something written for another distro but you have some doubt ask at OpenMandriva Chat.
For serious technical issues and package/feature requests please file a bug report here.

You can make OpenMandriva grow and improve by getting involved
Any help with testing would be appreciated whether one is technically proficient or a very non-technical user. The more people and more hardware we can get involved the better we can make OMLx releases and packaging. We do a lot of testing in VM’s as well. Developers tend to use Qemu, most user level testers use VirtualBox.
Yes for Rock that is normal. Rock is for server, business use, and folks that do not like a lot of change. We are getting close to Rock 5.1 which I believe will offer Plasma5 and P6 and will be a major upgrade.
Our ROME (rolling) version is considerably more up to date receiving regular upgrades from our development platform Cooker. I prefer ROME as I find it just as stable as Rock and much more up to date on security and bug fixes. Regular kernel updates for ROME are a major plus also IMO. If anyone installs ROME Plasma they should install the Plasma6 version instead of Plasma5. Plasma5 packages will be dropped soonish. There have been some upgrades to ROME since this announcement.
