The suggestion to install missing package does not result in the actual action

Hello,

Requirements:

I have Searched the forum for my issue and found nothing related or helpful
I have checked the Resources category (Resources Index)
I have reviewed the Wiki for relevant information
I have read the the Release Notes and Errata

OpenMandriva Lx version:

Rome rolling

Desktop environment (KDE, LXQT…):

KDE

Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant):

When you type in a command, that is not yet installed and the system recognizes the package to which it belongs, it suggests you to install the package.
Typing Yes does not result in any action.
Perhaps because the command to execute is missing sudo

I’ve also experianced this issue before. But for whatever reason, I didn’t dare to report it as a bug since I thought it was just a regular thing and nothing else and it just gets fixed.

I guess your also affacted by this also.

cooker:

It is more “quality of life” bug. It’s not like it affects too many people or even when it is, the workaround is very easy and straight forward, just run the suggested command with sudo manually.

But I do believe in importance of documenting it at least.
Maybe someone will stumble upon it and provide a fix, it might be even me, should I have enough time
The weekend is approaching, just need to learn the language/code behind it, so who knows…

That’s the reason why I confirmed the ‘bug’ (or at least the unexpected behaviour).

File the bug reports and let the devs sort’em out. :joy:
