It’s just so retarded. That’s why you can’t ignore the political slant of a project completely. If a person does not understand the difference between male and female, how can said person run a technical project in a competent and innovative way? The project will eventually reach a point of non-viability. At this point, they are just riding on the shoulders of the men who came before them.

Anything with a gun name equates to a gun of some sort. And we know how they believe a gun is able to get up all by itself, load itself, and start shooting, per Chicago gun control laws that always seem to fail spectacularly. They will conclude any gun Linux distro will magically download itself, install itself on their hardware, take over, and start shooting at them through the display.
Especially if it gets named AR-15 Linux or AK-47 Linux. Because in their limited lack of reality world, AR stands for “Automatic Rifle” and AK is an “Automatic Killer.” “You can’t make this stuff up,” as the old heads always told me at the truck stop.

I don’t know how things are in Arizona, but here in the Chicago five counties, you are either a Trump supporter and keep your head down low, unless among friends you know. Or you are a rabid anti-American, “we need more gun control laws because the current laws are not working” anti-Second Amendment, “I want to kill Trump now!”, “wokeness and gender confusion rule!” type psycho. I have been screamed at because of the color of my pickup truck, which is 10 sizes too large for their limited mental capacity and offends them because it is not a “proper” color, whatever that is. Are they offended by certain farm equipment manufacturers for using the same “wrong color?”
You are correct. There are no “centrists” in the country. But there are a few ultra-libertarians who are offended right now because they are not getting everything they demand as fast as they demand it. They remind me of the rabid religious types when everything doesn’t fit their latest agenda scheme, so they take their frustrations out on those least responsible for their insecurities and failings. Blame everyone else for your problems rather than look in the mirror to see the source.
What I find funny is how my neighbors from Poland are more MAGA than most Trump supporters. More hard-working than most MAGA, too. They have learned to keep their heads down, who they can talk with, and who must be avoided at all costs.

The only anti-systemd distro that I can think of is Devuan, which is a non-woke fork of Debian and uses alternative choices to systemd. Lunduke mentioned it some months ago when he made his anti-woke distro video.

Depends on where you are. In some areas anything “trump” is verboten. And we have plenty of the “Look! a Tesla! Let’s burn it!” types. I’ve had many a campaign sign stolen from my yard. And there are pockets of lunacy in otherwise solid areas.
Tucson and Flagstaff tend to be the most “leftist”. And in both cases, the universities tend to play an outsized role in the areas. And there have been a fair number of people moving in from California.
The real reason AZ isn’t “redder” really comes down to the GOP “establishment”; which makes up about 30% of the republican party here. Basically the “John McCain Wing”. Very globalist, love illegal immigration (numbers drive down wages, being illegal creates a defacto slave class), love the various H1 & J1 visa programs to flood the labor market at the white collar level (numbers drive down wages, being tied to a specific employer-visa creates another defacto slave serf class), crave the approval of the media/left, etc. They will actively campaign and vote for democrats if the republican candidate isn’t in their group.
As far as they are concerned “they” are smart and savvy enough to avoid the negative consequences. Think the aristocracy at the end of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth in the 1780s and 1790s.
