Welcome!
Yes, Texstar. That is correct. I had enough of his âish,â and wanted nothing more to do with him. I was fed up with it and left. I come back to find out that I was not alone. Many felt the same way. He is forgiven, but I want no resolution. He is gone and that is a good enough for me.
Good to see you @secretfirefox
This is some terrible news to wake up to, hopefully the OpenMandriva Team and Community will learn from this sabotage, unite, watch out for bad faith actors and get stronger ![]()
I finished my morning walk and I will say, he is a very talented package maintainer. By the way, his exact words to me were, âI consider arguing to be a sport.â That was the moment I left. That is the kind of person he is.
Welcome!
Lunduke did a really good job on the video. He is a member here and uses OM, so you knew it was coming. He was fair to everyone. He tried to get different views. OpenMandriva and this community do not look bad.
Thank you Bryan. You said people are returning. Yes, we are.

OpenMandrivaâs Attempted âSabotageâ by Former Contributor
Of course, as always, there will those who believe destroying the work of others should be seen as doing the world a favor when it fits the desired agenda. Just read the comments.
Bryan Lunduke is someone you donât see much today. A reporter who is fair and covers both sides. I see why he has been banned.
And those are the people you donât want to have around anyway.
100% agreed. I donât care if it is which desktop environment, religion, or skin color should be made mandatory. I donât want them around. If someone canât cope because more than one DE, religion, or skin color exists, that is their mental problem and they should go get help or perhaps just walk away and disconnect from everything for a dozen years or so.
Decades ago Monty Python did a show about hermits, in their usual silly style. Perhaps the Pythons were onto something. We need to bring back hermits. Some people probably will do better living remotely, far away from society.
Holy shit, this is awfulâŚ
I bet this will delay the UM even more, let alone the insane damage it has caused to the repos and the gnome packages as well
this sucks a lot, I hope yâall will be able to recover from this
Not to worry @Neko-the-gamer all the files have been restored. All the devs clone the git hub repos and work on the files locally, so backup were not an issue. It just took some time to get all of it uploaded again and wait for the mirrors to sync.
All is restored.
Oh nice!! That is really good to know!!! Thank you all so much for your continued support for this amazing distribution!!! ![]()

Btw, itâs good to see you again.
Now someone must tell me who is going to pay a full day developerâs work + some hours of another developer, wasted because of this criminal.
âI didnât sabotage the system, I just sabotaged the system.â [cit. @Idelacio]

Wow! I leave for a while and this happens. Goodness! Well, itâs nice to know you had backups and nobodyâs systems were damaged. Could have been much, much worse.
@Somech good to see you!
You cowards!
You have a responsibility to punish this lunatic. Take him to court
and stop kicking the can down the road for other people. Warning them,
come on. Thatâs not enough. It wouldnât be necessary if you meet your
real obligation and punish the fruitcake.
Weak men lead to hard times. Stop being soft. I know these type of
people very well.
This time he deleted a GitHub repository. Eventually someone will get
shot by this man unless reality faces him. He wonât face it first.

Well, if there is a coward then itâs Beatrici who prefers to send out DMs in the shadow instead of having a fair confrontation with OM developers and contributors in the cooker room - as it was solicitaded many times.
But he hides..
First responsibility we have is towards OpenMandriva users.
Even if the damage has been done mainly to the cooker branch (the development branch) this does not exclude that advanced users, testers, bug reporters or such could have suffered.
On this regard, please notice that no stable release was affected.
This is very important information to share.
Second, we felt the responsibility to warn any other project which currently or in the future may have to do with the dude. Then is -or will be- up to them.
Speaking for me, I think thatâs enough ATM.
Cheers,
