Organization of new website

It can but it’s less obvious to manage the responsivity aspect when there are many elements: the resizing seems to have problems with tablets size…

So simplest is best.

I don’t see here links to our other sites like bugzilla, blog, ect. Am I missing this? Or could we add these links?

No it must be polished indeed :slight_smile:

I need to finish the mirroring system now (which is linked to abf from oma) and go back on LP!

?? It’s in the footer…
Still to edit adding urls but they’re there :slight_smile: .

I though @ben79 was talking about the fact links were leading nowhere :slight_smile:

Oh, I was talking about the Forum not the website. Sorry. So I posted in wrong thread…

Oh :slight_smile: @rugyada already has plans for it, this is step +/- after Landing Page

OK, excellent.

About the four items of the promotion table, for now we have:

Devs: ARM ==> links to ??
Users: tour ==> links to ??
Players: Games ==> links to games.openmandriva.org ?
Dummies: guide ==> links to

Do we have a content for each of these items?
Also maybe we could also focus on new things like ABF or aarch?

In any case we need a minimum of content :stuck_out_tongue:

Who is for working on it?

To some screenshots (a lot of them, if possible - I can do it) like the mdv tour in mdv wiki.

Great! Thank you @rugyada!

Devs: ARM ==> links to ??

We spoke about to ask Fedya for some content, as far as I can remember.

Players: Games ==> links to games.openmandriva.org ?

Not fully sure. It may be, yes.

Dummies: guide ==> links to

Davide’s OpenMandriva Handbooks - and possibly others’ contributions as well

Iirc at Krakow I heard that @apterix was working on a dummy guide, am I wrong?

Question for @apterix :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway imho it’s good to stick to what we currently have. It doesn’t prevent at all to add any value contents, quite the contrary…

Exactly, for now I reproduce exactly the same content as currently. It’s why I had a concern with new content such as arm, dummy etc. However we have doc, abf…

I have not yet pushed all to upstream from my computer.

Here is the current content available (don’t pay attention to the ugly urls, I have to manage the rewrite modules first)

There is inconsistency between looks because I’m experimenting different behaviours. Also I’m writing new content such as Legal notice and TOS but I cheat, I write in French (or steal the text somewhere :wink: ) and lazily use online translator for a quick draft. I’m not that bad in English :stuck_out_tongue:

I have tested the localization strings, so as soon as content is written it’ll be easy to translate though transifex.

I have hesitated to share as there are still lot of things to do but maybe some of you would like to help for example with contents, suggestions, ideas etc

this being great!

Here are some tests with dynamic contents:

OpenMandriva Lx 3 tour:

Different kind of styles, just for examples and comments:

I made some additional improvements and it seems nicer to my eyes. Some are visibles, some are much more difficult to catch (but not easy to do). You can go back and see previous links:

Also I rewrote the TOS with the backend editor (rather than pure html) and I prefer the new results:

compared to the previous one:
