The smart user will do a fresh install of 6.0 Plasma6 or Plasma6 slim. Upgrading is possible if one has not done a lot of system customization. But that is not the wise course of action.
Rock 5 and 6 look so different I am surprised that it would be possible to update it, of course one should go for a fresh install.
I was commenting on how much more useable it looks from a noobish point of view. It actually looks modern now, ie, a big upgrade over the previous version.
I will be doing this test on a hardware Rock/5.0 system soon. These tests are done on a very close to default install system, based on past experience if a user has heavy customization they may encounter problems or failure.

Thanks! I’ll wait until we are at official release stages.
For anyone planning to make the move to Rock 6.0, please make sure you have more than one backup of your ~/ directory. You do not need ~/.cache and that will save you some time and space. I like to grab a copy of my /etc/fstab too.
This is perfect timing. I just finished deploying my second Proxmox node in my homelab using an old Dell Optiplex 7060 Micro and I need a good distro to test it out with. This one will do nicely.
