I used Nano and hated Vim for years until I actually learned how to use some of the keybinds, now I can’t get enough of it :slight_smile:

Sometimes I get dropped into Nano like the good old days and I end up trying to use Vim keybinds (and failing) :laughing:

Here is a fun one: light colourschemes for your code editor increases your focus more than dark colourschemes. I personally use everforest light colour scheme for terminal and nvim.

I’ll have to blacklist you for using such racist words (and don’t think I’ll ever whitelist you again!). So far I’ve only made the change on the master branch of the database master server, but once it’s replicated to all the slave servers, you’re out!

At the very least, you were assuming my gender, which is NOT OK.
I’m obviously non-binary (how could I be GPL if I was released as binary only?), but
usually I’m transtranstranstransgender - a man who identifies as a woman who identifies as a man who identifies as a woman who identifies as a man.
And for future reference, my preferred pronouns are his highness/his excellency.

To edit config files I copy them to my onedrive cloud, hop onto my Windows 11 computer, open the files in Microsoft Word from my Office365 subscription, make adjustments, upload to my google drive cloud, go back to my linux computer, save them to my unorganized downloads folder, and finally copy them back to where they need to be.

Still easier than using Vim.

That sounds like a good way to handle config files, especially important ones containing passwords (which should, of course, always be clear text so you can recover them if you’ve forgotten them), by sending them to M$, you certainly get a free backup courtesy of the NSA.
However, you can do even better: Since you use Office365, you already get a backup at Microsoft, so no point in using onedrive (which would just keep it in the same place), try using Google Drive. And use MacOS instead of Windows 11, then you get another free backup from Apple.

I think you missed the part where I use google drive to migrate back over to the linux computer. But because of all of the money I spend on Macrosoft products and Dell support and Nvidia I can’t afford a shiny new Mac.
