If any other logs are required let me know!

In Cooker something seems missing regarding Vault.

$ rpm -qa | grep cryfs
cryfs-1.0.1-1.znver1

I don’t know what package provides Vault or what the executable is. I have not been able to find any user documentation only some online how to articles. So don’t know yet what packages to search for.

I checked in a ROME VBox VM and was able to create a Vault there and it seems to be working. In Cooker VBox VM I get same results as in Cooker hw system as shown above. Will check in ROME hw system soon.

Edit: The package in ROME would be plasma6-vault-6.3.4-2 and in Cooker plasma-vault-6.4.2-1. Where are hitting this while Plasma5 packages are being dropped and renaming of plasma packages is taking place.

If you are using Plasma6 slim version of ROME you may have packages missing for Vault to work. Don’t know yet what those packages might be. Slim has very little of the Plasma6 packages.

As far as I can tell at the moment in ROME Vault should work if you have:

fuse2-2.9.9-7
cryfs-1.0.1-1
plasma6-vault-6.3.4-2

At least that appears to be working here. But as you can no doubt tell I did not know jack about KDW Vaults until this afternoon. The only requires I see for cryfs is fuse2. The only requires for plasma6-vault is cryfs.

All of them are installed.

fuse2.x86_64 2.9.9-7
cryfs.x86_64 1.0.1-1
plasma6-vault.x86_64 6.3.4-2

This is why i was thinking it was a microarchitecture issue. It should work just fine in a VM using new hardware.

Intel Pentium Dual CPU T3400 is my current hardware

I tried proxmox VMs using kmv64, conroe and core2duo cpus and could not reproduce the issue. Vaults successfully were created using those cpu’s. But they all had slighty different cpu flags then Intel Pentium Dual CPU T3400.

IntelPentiumDualCPUT3400-flags.txt (278 Bytes)

vms cpu flags
core2duo-flags.txt (227 Bytes)
kvm64-flags.txt (222 Bytes)
conroe-flags.txt (222 Bytes)
