Triple checked with my Arch installation. Kwrite had the same issue, and the same work-around I mentioned earlier worked again. This is not important to me, but if it is a big enough issue for you then I suggest making a bug report with KDE directly.
To answer everything being posted, I’m on X11, tried everything enabling the tolbars, disabling, deleting buttons, and adding them again, nothing works. Tried it on other distros in VM, works without problems.
So this is specific for OM.
Btw. putting timeout to answer for 22 hours doesn’t help the communication of this forum.
I agree, and it must be a default in discourse as for sure we did not set it.
OTOH nobody ever reported before.
Sorry for the inconvenience, we’ll investigate the issue.
I hate that you had though all this troueel, but things that you put on screenshots don’t work for me.
Whis ISO are you using?
I downloaded the one that is that green button on download page
This is cooker iso, in live mode to be sure to start with a clean environment.
You may want to install xguest, login to guest account, and see if it makes any difference.
No problem, it’s part of my mission here
Cooker? It’s ROME, isn’t it?
Cooker is what the rest of us would call the nightly build. Rome is the rolling release.
Cooker is cooker, it’s what we test to be sure that everything works as expected at time of ROME upgrades.
At this moment the 2 should be very close, since we copied cooker repository to rolling (ROME) a couple of days ago.
You might wonna check the rolling release, it has issues
Because rome is “safe” and for us “normal users”, and I’m not much of a cooker
First you said “This is cooker iso, in live mode to be sure to start with a clean environment.”
So which one is it?
Because I downloaded from officail page, official recommended download ISO (ROME), and on multiple compters and multiple OSs things you showed in your screenshots don’t work.
And you said:
You might wonna check the rolling release, it has issues
So here is it
OpenMandrivaLx.rolling-rome-plasma6x11.x86_64.iso
build ID #3574
You can see the build ID number in the last screenshot, done on purpose.
Now, if you have correctly distro-sync -ed your system it should be the same as this nightly build.
ROME major upgrade expected
Yes because if I say stuff doens’t work on ROME I don’t need results from any other release.
This is the official recommended link from OM homepage:
That one I have downloaded just so we ware all on the same page.
If that one doesn’t work, put a link to somehting different.
Please read:
Did you?
Last check I will do on this subject is to start the iso image hosted at SourceForge and report back.
Of course I did.
Can you please start such iso in live mode and make a screenshot of the console?
[live@omv-???? ~]$
^ this.
Thank you
