This seems to be related to the same GitHub issue linked by rugyada above me. I hooked to an external monitor and re-enabled the clipboard widget. I can confirm it affects external monitors too. After disabling the widget and system tray entry, I have no issues copying/pasting from and to an external monitor.

Do you mean that you disabled the clipboard widget?

Widgets can’t be disabled, only removed from the panel. However the system tray clipboard can be disabled, that’s the one most users have since it’s enabled by default and the most likely to be causing issues. Simply disable it, then you should no longer be having a problem copying/pasting.

I can C&P again!

I’d like to add a “me too” to being unable to reliably copy/paste in Wayland. It’s frustrating me to no end.

I am using the AMD-optimized version of ROME. Plasma 6. Fully updated.

Here is what I changed to get me through this.

I changed it to Disabled.

That’s exactly what I need! However, I cannot find a way to get into System Tray Settings. I feel like such a dolt…this should be easy.

Right-Click that arrow

I don’t have such an arrow.

Oh wait, I am a DOLT. Yes, I see it now. It was nested near the clock and my eyes totally missed it.

And now copy/paste works exactly as it should! Thank you so much.

We all have those moments. :grinning:

Of course we don’t have the GUI clipboard, but hopefully that will get fixed.

I have found that it copies… sometimes. In my case I open Konsole and attempt to copy the contents of the terminal using the Copy UI button, Right Clicking the selected text, or using Ctrl + Shift + C. I will randomly see it in my Clipboard History.

I could get it to work if and only if I cleared the GUI clipboard application. Once it had an entry, that was the only thing that would paste. I could not get it to hold more than one entry. Maybe it was just me though.

This is interesting, though. If I am on the monitor without the applet then it works but does not record in the history…

I only have one monitor, so I could not see that, but it seems to just fail to append, so all it can paste is the single entry it holds.

Wasn’t just you. It would always paste the same thing until the clipboard is cleared.
