Does OM have a night mode like Windows 10?

Hello,

I don’t know if that’s right here, but I didn’t find anything about it on here or elsewhere.
I just would like to know if OM has a night mode (mainly blue light filter) and if yes, if it has the same capabilities as the night mode in Windows 10.

You did not fill out the template asking for information, we do that for multiple reasons, please do not ignore that. When asking questions it is helpful to tell us what version of OMLx you are using.

If you are using Plasma6 version of OMLx look in SystemSettings under Display and Monitor.

Thank you for the answer.
I couldn’t fill that out because I’m not using OM yet.

Oh, forgot my manners for a bit.

I just wanted to add to this, for anyone looking up this topic later: I’m using OpenMandriva Lx 6.0 (Vanadium) Rock with KDE Plasma 6.3.4.
In my System Settings menu, the Night Light settings are not in the “Display & Monitor” tab, but for some reason they are actually in the “Colors & Themes” tab. FYI

Thanks @Froozle I was reporting from a Cooker system using Plasma 6.5.5. In ROME with Plasma 6.5.3 it is also under Display and Monitor. In Rock it is exactly as @Froozle said.

The more accurate question is, “Do the desktop environments in OM have Night Mode?” The answer is yes. Both Plasma and GNOME have night mode. There may also be others, but those are the more familiar ones. There may also be utilities that will adjust your monitor colors based on your specific needs.

One more thing to add. Night mode doesn’t currently work properly with Wayland. It does work properly with X11 when using Plasma 6 as the desktop environment.

Your results may be different.

Blame KDE folks for changes made just for change sake :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
