YT strikes against tech channels (possibly MS behind it)

Anybody see that several tech channels have been getting strikes for “dangerous” content for supposedly showing people how to get around WIN11s need for newer hardware and needing a MS account?

Couple examples (2 channels I like to watch now and again):

britec09
CyberCPU tech

If it is MS behind it, its a pretty $#17 D1c# move.

So much going on around Linux vs windows on Youtube in general atm, so I could believe this as a form of damage control.

50:50 split or so of people wanting to salvage their windows 10 machine and those who are aware and sick of windows 11 never ending creep into tech privacy invasion, ads and removing user choice. Many Youtubers have used this time as a great opportunity to not just “suggest considering” but pushing users to migrate to Linux distros. Loving to see it, tbh. The beast panics.

Youtube is a prime example of enshitification.

They are even age-restricting anime cartoons and video-game reviews.

Its fitting that they are owned by an outfit called “Alphabet”, because the alphabet people are among the most rabidly censorious people out there.

They age restrict that stuff but you should see what they actually try to show kids on their “Kids” version of the site.

It is straight up child grooming. The content is that bad, no exaggeration.

MS isn’t behind it because Alphabet Incorporated (Google, Youtube) have their own OSs that they’re trying to market on the PC to consumers. Ultimately speaking, Alphabet has ultimate control over YouTube and what content is allows to exist, get promoted, et cetera.

The ultimate answer to this is to use and promote free-er alternatives. I use Odysee.com / LBRY for this very reason.

Odysee works good, but there is not much in the way of good content on it at the moment.
