When the boot drive screen goes black -- I went beyond that

I was one of those that experienced the black screen on bootup. In my case I was able to solve the problem!

In my configuration I have a DPI screen running and an HDMI screen running. Both monitors are connected via my RTX 4060 graphics card. When I booted up the live drive I got the dreaded black screen.

RESOLUTION: I removed my HDMI monitor during the boot process and when I chose to start the live boot it came up to a full screen. I was able to access it. Curiously enough If I plug the second monitor back in it is recognized and used. And I was able to install the build as long as I kept the second monitor on hold until the install finished.

Glad you were able to resolve the issue. Secondary monitors, particularly HDMI ones, seem to cause this to happen at times.

Thanks for posting this. It’s good to let others know if they have the problem or maybe we can find a way to fix it so it doesn’t keep happening.
