Virtual Desktop Scrolling using X11 versus Wayland?

Hello,

Currently running OpenMandriva Lx 25.06 (ROME) with Plasma Desktop.

I initially installed the system using x11 and couldn’t for the life of me figure out how to configure/setup scrolling to virtual desktops (3 finger, 4 finger). I installed Wayland (I can now choose between the two via the bottom left of the login screen) and noticed that I can suddenly scroll, and it works beautifully. I’ve searched the past couple of days for a solution to this only to find references that this might be something that was disabled at some point. Searching the forums here for something related, I didn’t really see anything pertaining to the problem.

I guess the question is simply whether or not this is something that is possible using x11, or is it only available using Wayland?

Many thanks in advance.

First, welcome.
Second, use the template.
Third, the setting should be in Settings, perhaps under behavior. It has a search box. KDE had removed it and brought it back. If you have scrolling setup on your touchpad already, then you just need to make sure the setting is on in the behaviors.

you have to add for X11 for KDE 6.4:
plasma-x11-session and kwin-x11
