Upgrading from Nvidia to an AMD video card, what is the proper way?

In my endless quest to get Dayz running I bought a new video card. Im convinced AMD is the way to go with Linux so I bought a 6700 xt.

I could just reinstall the whole OS and if that is the best way then that is what I will do. But if it is easier to just sudo some stuff I am all ears.

AMD’s drivers are built into the kernel and utilize the MESA packages. You may want to get amdvlk-vulkan-driver, but I’m doing fine without it because MESA handles vulkan pretty well.

It should really be plug and play for you.
