There have been some changes to the NVIDIA driver package versioning previously outlined here:
Going forward, we will only be packaging the “Production” driver from NVIDIA for all OM versions because of how our build process works, the way NVIDIA releases driver versions (sometimes Production is newer than Beta or New Feature), and the size of our packaging team.
nvidia-settings is now built from NVIDIA’s source on GitHub and will not be installed from their driver binary.
The same guidance outlined in the previous post still generally applies.
