Unable to access ABF page for ROME Server baremetal x86_64

Start on this webpage: OpenMandriva

I click on ROME then click on ROME Server baremetal x86_64 and I get an Error 500 from ABF. The link for zenver1 works, however.

@bero It looks as if it got linked, but maybe the build didn’t complete.

The link still gives an Error 500. Which means no one can download the ISO, not just me.

The ability to download ROME Server baremetal x86_64 is still broken. Is there anything I can do to help?

Hello, unfortunately there is nothing you can do about this from your end, it needs the attention the devs who look after those products.

I have passed the information about this issue into the cooker matrix room for them to look into as well as a link to this thread, hopefully a resolution will be forthcoming soon.

I really appreciate it. I wanted to install OM Lx Server at home and ran into this roadblock.

Any news on this, OM Lx devs? The link is still broken and no one can download the Server ISO.

Thank you for the information. I was able to go to the project’s Source Forge all activity page here: OpenMandriva Lx Activity

I do notice all the Server files on the Source Forge page are in the .img format, as opposed to ISO. I wonder why?

But still, the initial problem remains. Anyone who goes to the OpenMandriva homepage and wishes to download the Server ISO cannot.

I really wish they would just link to the iso files and be done with it.

We are waiting on LLVM / Clang upgrades to complete as well as mass package rebuilds following on from those compiler updates before building fresh ISOs, building them now and then having to rebuild them again after the LLVM upgrades would be a waste of time and resources.

I know that seems frustrating when you are waiting on things to materialise, but all of this would have to happen anyway following on from those compiler upgrades.

If you notice on the SourceForge page those ROME Server images are from 2023 builds, quite out of date.

The Rock 6.0 server images on SF are up to date but that isn’t what you are asking about. :slightly_smiling_face:

Often .img files can simply have the extension changed to .iso and they will work the same, if that happens to not be the case then you could use ccd2iso program (available in our repos) to convert image to iso for you:

$ ccd2iso --help

Usage:
        ccd2iso <.img filename> <.iso filename>
        ccd2iso <option>

option:
-? -h --help show this help
            -v --version show version number

Yes it remains an issue until the aforementioned upgrades and package rebuilds are completed to allow us to build new ISOs, it is in progress, we have not forgotten as I have been reminding devs on matrix about it.

We will try to have those homepage info-server page links updated as soon as is practical after those new images are available, I will also share a link in this thread to them too when it exists. :slightly_smiling_face:

We cannot link to what doesn’t exist.

I meant in general. Maybe I am just dumb but the iso download for most isos on the main page is just odd.

Thanks so much for explaining what is going on. I just could not understand why it seemed no one was concerned that an ISO was unavailable. Your explanation makes very good sense and I look forward to all the upgrades to complete and a new ROME Server ISO to be created. I really appreciate the information.
