The idea that OM does not care about security is ridiculous FUD. Someone having a different belief about best practices than you have does not equal “OpenMandriva does not care about security”. I am not an OM dev but I am in a position to see everything they do and I can assure one and all the OM devs care very much about security.
The position of OM devs on this issue is adequately explained here.
If @SilentRanger or anyone else believes they can make things better then please feel free to provide your own patches or develop a better but workable alternative to systemd. This is how a Community distribution of Linux works.
Edit: I am in the camp of those that would like to see a better alternative to systemd. But I know I do not have the ability to accomplish this.
I don’t know the specifics, but OM uses a patched version of systemd to address some of the portions that the devs consider security flaws or just questionable code.
Let’s just give a very humble response from a clam and collected individual…
Ahem…
Good logical fallacy right there… Ahem moving on.
As someone who has been disillusioned many times over the past several months at a time where I lose hope of this humanity and the society as a whole. And as someone who’s critical thinking and someone who knows better then that, we all gotta stop predenting that we are better then anyone else and basically get ourselves disciplined by a group of mod people who just so happens to be one of those idiocrats… Ahem while this just shows a great detail on how clam and humble you are as a result of just start to be respectful human being debatable. Ahem moving on.
Okay.
Okay…?
That seemed a little bit overexaggerating, “Very much” just doesn’t assure me, and the fact that you the person in question is “exaggerating” that fact that “they care so much about security” just seems suspicious on how you phrased it…
That doesn’t sit right with me at all. The so-called “dev” in question just so happens to support corporatocracy. Let’s not jump into such weird conclusions like everyone else on this matter and move along with it.
Assuming everyone is some sort of a developer is… questionable to say a least.
Oh, really? Then how come you didn’t say that earlier? If you don’t have the ability to accomplish the task at hand, then you shouldn’t had been desperate about this. Or at least the right choice of words would make a lot of sense by now.
That is all there to this. Really. Have a nice day.
