Oh no I’m so sorry! I thought you were up and rolling! My humble noob advice would be to stick with the Rome/X11 install; go as well tested as possible, and just troubleshoot that. I will have to defer to others as far as further troubleshooting however. Have you opened a help request in this forum in that section?
not yet, I have been going round and round using Google Gemini to help (its actually pretty cool). I am having XFree86 flashbacks with this
Shot you a DM
My guess is system confusion between your APU and your GPU. Make sure your BIOS is up to date and disable the APU onboard graphics.
No integrated graphics on the 5800x3d
I stand corrected:

A CLI install absolutely is an option: Use the server image, that’s exactly what you get.

Not sure why you’d be getting black screens, I’ve never seen that happening anywhere. Would certainly be good to get some logs.
I don’t get it…I FINALLY got it installed again off the Rome Wayland iso of all things. First reboot…black screen. I finally threw in the towel and am running KDE-NEON with the nvidia drivers from the nvidia repo and its working amazingly well. I REALLY wanted to use OM but holy crap that gave me Mandrake flashbacks.
Why for me? Are you not using OM too? Or did you just post this to be a troll?
If it is real, I’d like to follow along… where is DJ Ware posting?
You’re baiting calling it “our” questions. Get help, SBD
@yurimodin maybe a bit off topic here, would you start a new thread so it can be investigated?
Anyway first of all did you search for similar issues reported and their discussions here at forum (like to enter x11 session instead of wayland, or disconnect/unplug any secondary monitors if it’s your case, or other tips)?
I did ALL the things…fought it for 2 or 3 evenings with about 5 different OM iso’s(zenver, x86-64, x11, wayland, even lxqt) including recent snapshots…threw in the towel and put KDE Neon on it and it actually booted straight into a live Wayland session from the USB no problem. Getting the nvidia repos added and the 575 drivers installed was about another 30 minutes since they don’t have that fancy nvidia driver tool like the other 'buntus. 3 days vs 40 ish minutes
Does this guy need help or something?
I understand, but is it is fairly documented: systemd - Wikipedia
Really, they are the definition of “creeper” because they creep on things when they shouldn’t be. It has been criticized for a long time now since 2013-2014.
Pardon me?
Unfortunately comparing OM to other distributions won’t help.
Someone can say exactly the contrary. Last time I installed Neon for testing it did not even populate the /home/user with directories except Desktop… But that’s another story.
We are sad to hear that you can’t install the system or that you can’t login. There must be something obvious that we’re missing perhaps.
On the other hand it seems that ISO in live mode does work, so I’d investigate why the installed system fails
I figured I am just flying too close to the sun wanting Wayland on Nvidia right now…I will just try again in 6 months etc. As long as I get to bailout of 'buntu before Neon rebases to 26.04(which has the uutils rust religion nonsense installed).
Very simple question. You started the thread with an image from a third party. Can you not provide the source?
Guess what? OpenMandriva doesn’t take security seriously… What a surprise!
It comes at least partially from here.
I couldn’t find the rest of the thread offhand, but that’s part of it.
