[SOLVED] Dragon unable to play videos on Wayland

Hello,

  • OpenMandriva Lx version: Cooker

  • Desktop environment (KDE, LXQT…): KDE

  • Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant): Playing videos with Dragon does not work on Wayland. Audio works but not video playback. The current workaround is to run Dragon with QT_QPA_PLATFORM=xcb.

  • Relevant informations (hardware involved, software version, logs or output…): Running Dragon from Konsole and playing a video (.webm and .mp4) will spam this:

[h264 @ 0x7f3670386400] get_buffer() failed
[h264 @ 0x7f3670386400] thread_get_buffer() failed
[h264 @ 0x7f3670386400] decode_slice_header error
[h264 @ 0x7f3670386400] no frame!

Fixed by installing phonon4qt6-mpv. I did not know Phonon had an MPV backend.
