Sisimedia vídeo driver support please

I am on Mageia Because Ubuntu 16.04 don’t support Sis Mirage 3 graphics…
Arch Linux, Mageia has sisimedia support but kernel 4.4.0 causes overheat throttling threshold

Modern computers has overheat problem:
https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=180074

My config:
http :// ark.intel.com/products/30774/Intel-Celeron-Processor-540-1M-Cache-1_86-GHz-533-MHz-FSB

https://forums.mageia.org/en/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=11043

Looks like you have this:

-Computer- Processor : Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 540 @ 1.86GHz Memory : 1936MB (902MB used) ... 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 771/671 PCIE VGA Display Adapter (rev 10)

I found this:

https://www.x.org/wiki/VideoDriverFAQ/#index1h2

so I’m guessing they are calling what you have S3? Which looks like it isn’t well supported? To my understanding most (if not all) Linux distros support what Xorg supports. The only variation I know of is support for proprietary drivers like nVidia and Radeon.

Ah, here’s list of supported drivers:

https://www.x.org/wiki/Projects/Drivers/

goro.ddaimonx Alexander Stefanov-Khryukin reports that this is an old driver but we still keep it. So looks like your hardware is supported.

From XFdrake:

please put this scripts for old computers in modern openmandriva:

`#!/bin/bash

# Usage: temp_throttle.sh max_temp

I run that with this command:
gksu ./temp_throttle.sh 80`

How does that have anything to do with video driver support?

Asking here won’t get anything done. File a bug report and under ‘Severity’ select ‘Trivial/Enhancement’.
