Second monitor does not display mouse cursor when rotated to portrait

Hello,

I have checked the Resources category (Resources Index)
I have reviewed the Wiki for relevant information
I have read the the Release Notes and Errata

Desktop environment (KDE, LXQT…):

Kernel Version 6.19.0-desktop-1omv2690 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform X11

Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant):
When using my cursor on my second monitor, the cursor is not visible. Cursor functioning is normal and windows are actionable on the second monitor, but I cannot see the cursor. Using the cursor on the second monitor resets the cursor appearance to default. Desktop settings on the second monitor are set to default (sans the wallpaper) even when otherwise configured.

Hi @nep .

Have you checked over on the KDE forums about this?

KDE treats multi-monitor setups as “just-a-bunch-of-screens” Kind of like JBOD (just a bunch of disks) rather than as 1 unified display (like when you would use raid to merge multiple disks into 1 ).

The result of this is that sometimes you actually have to re-configure everything for the additional monitors while the cursor and program windows Are On That Monitor ::me shakes head::

Another trick is to turn off the monitor(s) that works, changing settings and then turning it on again.

Otherwise you would likely have to do some hackery with config files by hand.

You starting point should be the KDE forums though. Because they broke many things when they went to version 6 from KDE5. And Google/AI can’t seem to tell the difference
