I posted this on GitHub already with package details, and would be willing to learn how to solve this problem myself if I could be directed to good documentation. Either way, would like to see it solved so I can update my ROME system without errors.
The problem is not with python it is with fail2ban, and gpsd-python. They either need to be rebuilt or fixed and rebuilt for python-3.14.3.
You could volunteer to fix these or be the maintainer for these. Contact devs at OM-Chat.
Right, that was my assumption. I believe Python isn’t being updated because it will break the 3.11 dependencies in the other packages.
I ended up uninstalling fail2ban because I hadn’t really configured it to do much of anything yet, and after that the Python packages all upgraded properly. Closed the GitHub issue.
OK, good to hear you get your problems sorted.
