If you are using Rolling and have testing repos enabled there are some major upgrades being added. Namely Qt5 5.13 and KF 5.59. Might be a good idea to delay upgrading until these are finished uploading or you could disable testing repos temporarily.
So lets say you are one of those wise guys that have Rolling and you have all 4 media categories enabled and you also have testing repos enabled for all 4. How do you quickly with one command disable them for situations like this?
Or you can enable and disable individual repos with the above command. For this all the packages I’m mentioning for this notice are in main/testing so:
All Rolling users with testing repos enabled should continue to hold off on upgrading Qt 5.13 and forget about KF 5.59 packages.
Packages in Kahinah are also in a testing repo for either Rolling or 4.0 repository. Kahinah is where we track and vote to move or reject packages for movement to Rolling/release repo or 4.0/updates repo.
Currently in Kahinah there are packages for Qt 5.13 and KF 5.59 for Rolling, The Qt 5.13 are on hold for KF 5.60 upgrade and Plasma desktop 5.16.x upgrade.
The KF 5.59 packages are currently blocked waiting for KF 5.60 upgrade.
@fedya has fixed the problem in ABF that has been delaying or failing so many builds. So we think things should start to move faster. Maybe a lot faster.
These have been broken for at least 3 weeks more likely a month. So I’m thinking we should be discouraging users from using Rolling if we can’t get packages fixed faster than this.
These are as fixed as they are going to get. In order to get certain packages working again in Rolling I mover these to main/release repo. So Falkon, Quassel, KSysGuard, and KMyMoney should work again after this update.
And there should soonish be an upgrade to KF 5.60 not sure when we’ll get Plasma Desktop 5.16.x.
