Rebooted my OpenMandriva VM after 4 months and I'm not getting any new updates

OpenMandriva Lx version:

Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant):

I haven’t had time to boot this VM, so when I got the chance to boot this the first time, I’m surprised with the lack of updates. I’m currently on kernel 6.15 and I enabled the testing repo just in case, but there’s also nothing.

I also tried to install the NVIDIA driver, but it was a bust.

Rome package updates have been delayed while we sort out several major changes in our development branch.

Looking at dnf history list it looks like last major upgrade to ROME was around June 5, 2025, so approximately 4 1/2 months. We do call ROME “slow rolling”.

I can say that everyone in the OM contributor group is frustrated by how long this round of changes and the necessary “fixes” and patches is taking.

The nvidia kmod is probably not built for the RC kernel. You will need to use a release kernel.

Dumb question may be, but will there be no security implications? Are we not missing any important security patches to the applications? As an example, on my Cooker VM, chromium version is 140.0.xxxx.xx but on my PC with Rome, it is at 135.0.xxxx.xx.

Changing from Xorg to XLibre for our x11 sessions, updates to clang/llvm, removing plasma5 and updating all of the plasma6 packages to reflect that. While doing all of that KDE has had two point releases, there have been numerous kernel updates, and bug fixes for everything.
