Random App icons showing rather than regular application icon

  • _**OpenMandriva Lx version: Lx 25.01

  • _**Desktop environment (KDE, LXQT…): Gnome

  • _**Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant): When running Brave (non Flatpak), rather than the actual app icon being highlighted as an open application, I have a random “app” icon pop up in my applications panel. I’ll include a screenshot below.

  • _**Relevant informations (hardware involved, software version, logs or output…):

Brave is open, yet the top icon has no indicator that it’s open. The 2nd to last “blue gear” icon is Brave. The last one is degoogled Chromium, which also doesn’t seem to want to display its icon.

Did you open a bug report on github, or do you need one of us to do it? They are under “Issues”

Is that the default icons theme? If not, what happens with default?
Sorry I know nothing about gnome, but I know that the gnome stuff is maintained by a Brave “fan” (like many other folks): @AngryPenguin
I doubt he would not have noticed.

I haven’t opened a bug report report. I should be able to do it :+1:

That is the default icon theme. I had been running Ubuntu with Gnome for a few years and got really annoyed with dealing with various icon themes, so this time I figured I’d just leave it on the default one.

Should be fixed/workarounded in cooker.
