Hello,
Just a random question, hope this is the proper tag.
What’s the current kernel release schedule? I’m under Rome, latest kernel stable is 6.14.2, kernel unstable is 6.15.0-rc2 from repo. They seem very outdated from mainstream. Those are several weeks old.
Currently, latest official kernel stable is 6.14.9, and kernel unstable is 6.15.0.
Not trying to start a discussion or anything, but being close to upstream is important to me, as my current computer is 2025 and many items have been resolved in the last 2 months at stable.
Kind regards.

Cooker kernel
tends to be mainline
.
kernel-rc
is currently at 6.15.0-0.rc7.1
My advice would be to try a Cooker install so you can help test these newer kernels and bring them online sooner. Otherwise, you can see and monitor the kernel builds and releases here:

Perfect! Thank you, this works for me!
Will just install manually kernel headers and kernel desktop on-demand for now.
I’m still fairly new about OpenMandriva, so good to know about the Cooker (as repository and release branch/strategy)
