Is there a cli utility with similar feature set of pandoc in the Rock repos?
Why not just file a Package Request for pandoc?
@shimmy If you need me to do it, I will file the package request for you. Just speak up.
Pandoc is huge, lots of dependencies, and I was curious if there was an alternative in use.
And no, I haven’t submitted a package request yet.
I don’t use it, so I would not know.
I’m surprised that pandoc and its related packages are not in one of the OM repos. @shimmy or @WilsonPhillips are either of you filing a package request for pandoc?

I have to admit that I would prefer that you guys file your own package requests, so that you are the ones that get the alerts for them when opened and completed. It is also good experience for you to learn how to do it. HINT: The first one is hard. The second one is a piece of cake.

Thanks. I’ll file the next one now that I’ve seen the one you filed. I was a little intimidated being new to OM and not knowing what to expect.

It takes a bit of effort to run down all of the info requested in the form, but it saves the developer/packager from having to go and do the legwork. It also allows you to feel like you helped. It is all an important part of the process.
Also, this package might take a month or more to make it through the line. They work on them on a first come, first served basis. So, if you need this package, don’t wait for it. There is nothing stopping your from manually installing the package and using it in the meantime. That is what I did for the packages I needed. I put in several and some are done already. I am still waiting for some, but I am still using the programs while I wait.
