OpenMandriva Spin as a Console-like Gaming Distro?

I think it would be really interesting to have an OM spin as a heavily customized and optimized gaming Linux distribution that has a custom interface that looks like a console – something reminiscent of the Switch or Steam Deck, or a combination of the two. I saw a discussion of something similar way back in January, and it seems pretty cool.

Things that I wish were in such a distro:
Extensive Software Support
A built-in app/game store where one can download/buy software like games, emulators, or QoL (Quality of Life) apps made for Android, PC, and more
Sleek and intuitive interface
Settings screen where one can manipulate device controls, behavior, and power
Easy access to other launchers like WineGUI or Lutris
Device Stats with MangoHUD
Brave-like Browser
Streaming Utilities like OBS
Document editing with OnlyOffice
Heavily-customized KatanaDE/MATE desktop to be beginner-friendly
Immutable kernel, coreutils, and other crucial components

It would be very interesting if anyone would like to make this dream a reality.

There are a few people that have been working on a gaming spin. I’m not sure how far along it is or what the goals are.

I would be happy to test such a thing on my dedicated Arcade Emulator machine. Love the idea! Currently just using Retroarch on Windows 7. Would love an excuse to reinstall it all.
