After getting a second-used machine in early 2024, I switched back to dual boot Windows / Linux and dropped OpenMandriva on the run because of the lack of time and … Nvidia cards ! 
No offenses
Last week-end I tried to reinstall OpenMandriva. There are already other distros spins available for apple computers bundled with the T2 chip but was a bit slow looking a the user experience in my opinion. So I gave a new try.
WHAT THE HELL ! Don’t know if my timing was right, kernel 6.19, still in love with KDE, Helium browser, grub not screwed at the install… You put a lot of work in the last year. So congratulations to all of you, hard to keep the pace I guess, the last version of ROME is really really impressive. 
About the mac, support got better with latest kernel and you can install almost any distro by disabling the security boot and gave real free space on the partition. After installing a few tweaks, you can get the keyboard, trackpad and wifi working as well.
OM Rome with KDE X11 is still the fastest distro that ran on my laptop. Here is a screenshot of my current setup

Not the excitement of Wayland / Hyperland with a cyberpunk / tron theme, but long days of coding with the smoothy blue-green colors are really nice to work with, relaxing environment.
I’ll try to open a few bugs, at the moment usable for daily work
