Is there an OMA Rock KDE5 Wayland build available for download?
If not, what would be the safest approach to getting Wayland going on my X11 install? I value stability, don’t wanna do anything that will break Rock down the line.
Cheers!

Logout, in lower left corner of sddm
login screen select Plasma Wayland, login.
If someone is using autologin (not recommended) go to SystemSettings>Startup and Shutdown>Behavior and you can change the session there.
I do not know how well Wayland works in Rock, at that time OM developers were more focused on X11.
Rock/5.0 is old, we hope to release Rock/6.0 soon.
Plasma Wayland works very well (for me at least) on Rock 5.0. I have everything I use with the exception of Steam running through Wayland. No issues.
In the meantime I’ve tested the latest rolling version build (KDE6 slim), and while it does offer some options in the lower left corner, none are related to Wayland, only X11 and failsafe. Installing plasma-workspace-wayland (the same way I did under Rock) is not an option as it conflicts with existing packages.
Any clean alternatives?
Was the first thing I checked under Rock (KD5 slim) but there was nothing on either corner of the sddm. I solved it by installing plasma-workspace-wayland though.
Got it working on my X220, all fine (Steam including) except for messed up fonts in some gtk-based Flatpaks.
It runs fine for me as well. I just meant that it does not run via Wayland. It only supports X11.
The Slim iso is wayland-free by design.
For the Wayland lovers (I’m not for sure one of them ):
I think that this command will install the wayland stuff on Plasma6 system
sudo dnf --refresh install task-plasma6-wayland
I don’t know about Plasma5.
Probably once wayland will become mature enough we’ll provide also the Slim wayland.
