OM-Welcome turns into a black window using non-free NVIDIA drivers

Hello,

I installed the NVIDIA linux driver via the OM-welcome hardware section on OMLx ROME (Rolling).
Everything went fine, but now the OM-Welcome is now completely black everytime i open it.

I then uninstalled the nvidia package and after reebooting my pc om-welcome started working properly again.

Launching om-welcome from the terminal when non-free drivers are in use it shows this message:

[esu@openmandriva ~]$ om-welcome
GBM is not supported with the current configuration. Fallback to Vulkan rendering in Chromium.

Is there anything I can do to make om-welcome work while using NVIDIA non-free drivers?

My pc specs are:

Operating System: OpenMandriva ROME 25.04
KDE Plasma Version: 6.3.4

Welcome @esu ! We are happy to see you and hope you will make this your home.

Don’t do anything with that yet. Just run without the nvidia driver for right now. You are one of the few who have had this issue, but you are the only one who has posted this error message. Thank you!

Let us take a look at that and see what we can do with this info.

We have seen a lot of issues with hybrid graphics setups. You might want to make sure the BIOS is up to date and the card you do not want to use is disabled.

After removing NVIDIA drivers from the system I experienced strange graphical issues like black screen at boot. I “resolved” the easy way. I reinstalled ROME using the Plasma 6 Wayland ISO this time.
No more screen tearing, so no need to install non-free drivers.
Thank you for your support.
