Hello,
Requirements:
I have Searched the forum for my issue and found nothing related or helpful
I have checked the Resources category (Resources Index)
I have reviewed the Wiki for relevant information
I have read the the Release Notes and Errata
OpenMandriva Lx version: OMLx ROME 25.04
Desktop environment (KDE, LXQT…): KDE Plasma 6.x Series
Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant): The OM Welcomer, when I try to actually start installing packages from the welcomer in the Software section, install it, put my super-user password, wait, then just to receive “installation failed” for whatever reason.
Relevant informations (hardware involved, software version, logs or output…):
No system logs or outputs, at least if there is one…
I am wondering if OM Welcome in Rome is actually even working for installing such software, others do work, but the fact almost some packages are affected is insane. Gonna need to update the software list that is currently affected by it.
Please post the output of
dnf repolist

Is this ok [y/N]:
So, everything there is in the main repo. It should be found and installed normally.
Can you try installing scribus from the command line just to see if it works?
sudo dnf install scribus --refresh
If om-welcome is broken, it is a recent thing and this is the first we are hearing about it, so it is important to us.

It really is a problem. I actually don’t do the “-- refresh” command since, what even is the point? What does it do exactly? Kinda trying to figure out how and what it works, since it’s basically the same as APT.
It doesn’t look like you have a network connection. What do you get if you run
ping -Ov google.com
[mandrake@OpenMandrivaLx-Btw ~]$ ping -Ov google.com

I have only been using dnf for 4 months, so I am still learning. --refresh grabs an updated list of what is on the repo. As long as you have gotten the metadata in the last 30 minutes you don’t need it.
I see. I am also still learning, because that was when I was using Fedora Linux, which was interesting.
Well, you are getting a ping response, so you do have a connection, yet you can’t get the repo metadata. We may need an expert.
On the other hand, that is why om-welcome was failing. It’s not the app.
I am asking for some expert help on this, but I am leaning to a problem with the mirror you are connected to.
I wonder if a reboot might make it connect to a different one?
Still a problem.

The repolist looked fine and I can reach the repos, so I am still leaning to a bad mirror. That is usually a temporary thing.
So am I reaching a bad mirror or something? If it is temporary, how long will it actually last?
That IP points to Netherlands. I could not browse it.
Huh, weird, but I don’t even use a VPN (yet), so what’s the point? Is there a Czech Mirror?
That is why I am trying to get some help on this one. Hang tight.
