om-imagewriter-2.6.4.2-1.znver1 won’t open in Wayland
It asks for the root password, but once that box goes away, the program does not open. I checked on the other PC and got the same result.

I logged out and went to the Failsafe X session and started the program from the command line and it worked just fine. I burned my Windows 11 ISO to the thumbdrive and logged back in on Wayland. My task is done, but I can still test for you if needed.

It probably needs to be rebuilt.

FWIW in Cooker Wayland works not on my box.

[ben79@3312 ~]$ om-imagewriter
[ben79@3312 ~]$ rpm -qa | grep om-image
om-imagewriter-2.6.4.2-1.znver1

Looks like in journal log it takes a dump without real output:

I tried the rebuild in Cooker and that still works not in Wayland on my box.

Summary: Opens in X11 not in Wayland

x86_64 is also not affected. I can open it on both X11 and Wayland.

Should have mentioned my laptop is znver1.

Which means this needs a bug report.

Bug reported.

I just tested this again and it will open with…

sudo om-imagewriter

without the sudo, it opens the password box, and disappears after with no error message in the terminal. I have not gone as far as digging through logs.
