Nothing Happened

I installed rome on an ancient T530 Think Pad, and…nothing. It works fine. It updates fine. All the packages work. My first experience with OM was a non-event. To shake things up, I installed rome in VirtualBox. Host machine is based on a garbage x99 mainboard from AliExpress. The processor is a 10 year old xeon. Host OS is Unbuntu Cinnamon. And…nothing. OM installed without incident and runs fine on 4096MB and 4 cores. It acts like it’s on the metal. I wish I had some cool technical problem to complain about. I guess I missed the early phase of the development cycle when OM was edgy & unstable. So far, OM is about as edgy as Mint. I haven’t tried it on KVM or Hyper-V. I think I will. I’ll break OM yet…

With enough confidence, and the right amount of ignorance, you can break anything. I speak from experience.

I am very glad to hear of your non-issues with OMLx. The same thing happened to me…nothing. No problems.

Jokes apart, we are really glad to read such kind of issues.
