Which is exactly what we have done. We’ve cut back on fixing wayland because at this time x11 works better.
But of course people aren’t listening when we’re telling them to use x11, and then blaming us for not getting wayland support 100% right.
That’s not saying we’ll never get on wayland, but as of right now, wayland is more buggy than x11 and therefore we focus on making everything work the way it should with x11.
I think the frustration is the people who make no effort to get the issues addressed and then shake their asses all over the forums and their own platforms about how OM doesn’t do what the $100M+ funded distros are doing. We all want everything to work. Many of us have day jobs. If all of us were working on OM to make it better as a day job, the overall quality would improve. Sadly, we are not.
I think in this instance it has a lot to do with the influencer mentality. It’s like you owe it to them to provide them with good content because they “have followers”. It’s no different when they come around asking for free hotel stays. We just tell them to go away.
