Relevant informations (hardware involved, software version, logs or output…):
Tested this fix on ROME iso 1761 and in installed system from that iso. To fix open terminal and install this:
$ sudo dnf in kwindowsystem-x11
Logout and login. Works for me. We are adding this dependency to lxqt-panel
and will make new isos.

New ROME LXQt ISO #1768 with this fix. LXQt is working well now.
For users with older hardware the new Cooker and ROME LXQt ISOs are tested in VBox to install using 1024MB RAM. There is a file user will need to edit on the ‘Live’ ISO to do this, /etc/calamares/modules/welcome.conf
. Change the line that says requiredRam: 2.0
to requiredRam: 0.8
. After installing system seems to work just fine with 1024MB RAM.
Change that to:
FWIW: The setting for 2.0GB or 2048MB RAM was done for KDE Plasma desktop which is more memory intensive.
