Live USB will not boot from grub

Hello,

  • OpenMandriva Lx version:

6.12.1 Build # 3495.

  • Desktop environment (KDE, LXQT…):

None

  • Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant):

When I boot from a USB into grub, I hit enter and the following happens:
Flower background for a short time. Seconds.
Error flashes to fast to read
Screen blanks out and apparently hangs the system
Does not respond to Ctrl-Alt-Del and need to reset to restart.
I have waited for 15-20 min for something to happen with no luck

I would really like to install this OS and I’m also from Lunduke.

Thanks

Welcome! We are happy to see another viewer of Lunduke. I am one myself.

A couple of questions. Do you have a particular reason to use such an old build?
How are you writing the ISO?

The latest version was posted today. Show - Product ROME plasma6.x11 x86_64 - Platform - Openmandriva ABF

Which iso are you using, and how did you write it to your flash drive?

I thought I had downloaded it today but I was also downloading another distro and may have just thought I did.

I have used both DD and balena Etcher.

I have downloaded latest version and try it. I’ll let you know what happens.

And Thanks for the help.

Use Balena Etcher. It seems to work the best.

I used Etcher and still no go.

An update on what happens.

Goes to flower screen blanks then another flower screen with openMandriva on it then the error and lock. I don’t think this is new.
