Kwin does not maximize windows when snapping to upper screen border-ROME26.02

Hello,

Requirements:

I have Searched the forum for my issue and found nothing related or helpful
I have checked the Resources category (Resources Index)
I have reviewed the Wiki for relevant information
I have read the the Release Notes and Errata

OpenMandriva Lx version:

OpenMandriva Lx release 26.02 (ROME) Rolling for x86_64

Desktop environment (KDE, LXQT…):
KDE 6.5.5

Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant):
As the title says, i noticed that, after clean install and even after update, windows don’t get maximized when snapping them to the upper border of the screen. I can tile them to the sides or corners, but not maximize it.

has someone noticed this too? i tried on a OM ROCK 6.0 Live USB and it also has this problem. I can’t find a configuration on KWIN to modify this behavior.

Relevant informations (hardware involved, software version, logs or output…):

Best regards,

This?

oh… it was there. Yeah, i just checked it and now windows maximize when snapping them to top edge of screen. I was looking on the “window manager” option believing it had to be there. Guess this is the kind of situations that make some people complain about Plasma’s massive control center  some stuff is where you don’t exactly expect it to be.

in any case, thank you so much for the help :folded_hands:
