Desktop environment (KDE, LXQT…): KDE Plasma 6.3.4
Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant):
Trying to install Kvantum themes, Kvantum Manager will not accept downloaded global themes.
Relevant informations (hardware involved, software version, logs or output…):
Kvantum Manager 0.10.9m Kvantum Manager 1,1,4 (depending on which Kvantum package was installed)
all packages updated (sudo dnf --refresh upgrade)
only kvantum package installed is qt-theme-kvantum.x86_64 (had also tried with qt5-style-kvantum-0.10.9-5.x86_64)
Following the directions at Install and Use Kvantum Themes in KDE Plasma. I’ve also seen a note that qt6-style-kvantum and qt6-style-kvantum-themes should be installed, but I am not finding that in OML.
Placed the extracted themes in ~/.config/Kvantum as per the instructions page above.
I have Kvantum working here. I have the same package you have installed; you don’t need anything else.
When you download a theme, extract it to a folder. For example, download the Commonality Kvantum theme and then extract it. You’ll have a folder called commonality. Then go into the Kvantum Manager, click Select a Kvantum Theme Folder and select the commonality folder. Then click Install this theme.
To make the theme active, you have to go into System Settings → Colors and Themes → Application Style. Once there, select Kvantum and then click Apply.
Global Themes not always work as expected, sometimes you have to grab components and install them separately by hand. Not a big deal imo if you know how to do that
