Keyboard Shortcuts meta t

Hello,

  • OpenMandriva Lx version:
    OM 6.13.5-desktop-1omv2590

  • Desktop environment (KDE, LXQT…):
    KDE

  • Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant):
When I press meta-t, I get some sort of screen overlay that appears to be for setting up tiling behavior. What is this and how do I use it? I am not a fan of the default tiling behavior and would like to customize it along with keyboard shortcuts for switching/moving windows, etc. Any input is much appreciated.

  • Relevant informations (hardware involved, software version, logs or output…):
    Linux OM 6.13.5-desktop-1omv2590 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Sat Mar 1 00:59:32 UTC 2025 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

It makes kwin act more like a tiling window manager. In the Meta+T screen, select the general layout, then move windows to the tiles while holding the shift key.
That connects the windows to the tiles, so from then on when you resize a window (and thereby the corresponding tiles), the other windows will adapt.
