I have 2 instances of open mandriva x86 and zenver (netwok printing issue)

Hello,

Requirements:

I have Searched the forum for my issue and found nothing related or helpful
I have checked the Resources category (Resources Index)
I have reviewed the Wiki for relevant information
I have read the the Release Notes and Errata

**OpenMandriva Lx version:6

Desktop environment (KDE,):

Description of the issue (screenshots if relevant):

Relevant informations (hardware involved, software version, logs or output…):

Both distros are configured exactly in the same way
Autcom of

 sudo lpadmin -p HP-NET -E -v ipp://192.168.1.10:631/printers/HP -m everywhere
[sudo] hasło użytkownika kuba:
lpadmin: Printer returned invalid data: "media-supported": Bad keyword value "" - invalid character (RFC 8011 section 5.1.4).

on zenver

but on x86_64 it just adds the printer and the printer works

so my raspbery pi debian print server is properly configured

On the client computers, proper packages are installed in with their respective architectures

sudo dnf install avahi.x86_64 avahi-dnsconfd.x86_64 avahi-x11.x86_64

for zenver the zenver equivalent is used

Yet on zenver this do not work
Damn im missing something and running in circles like brainless moron for quite a while now

This seems like a PPD issue. When you set up printing, did you set it up exactly the same from exactly the same install type (i.e. full not slim) in both architectures?

Yes that was exactly the same type of install source the only difference was the architecture of the installation source / ISO

sudo lpadmin -p HP-NET -E -v ipp://192.168.1.10:631/printers/HP -m everywhere

This should work as driverless setup for the clients.
Im starting to think that, if my raspbery pi server Debian is x86_64 and one of the open mandrivas clients is also x86_64 therefore, driver on a server matches the client system architecture so whole driveless setup works. But the other zenver mashine just does not understand / talk to x86_64 driver on server so this error occurs.

If that is the case then well… fuck me I will be forced to install x64_86 on my ryzen PC, wchich sucks because on zenver it is insanely snappy end responsive. It was snappy before but man there is a difference.

IPP everywhere should just be a connection to a print server (basically a TCP/IP connection). It sounds more like a bug with CUPS.

server side most probably?? Oh sane is also f up for zenver client. I will double-check all my setups and configs tomorrow. Im buffered as heck

Only if you have the printer connected to the pi instead of the network directly.
